Paul graduated from university with a degree in Physiotherapy and entered the NHS, specialising in spinal pain, ergonomics and acupuncture. He then proceeded to open and develop a successful private treatment clinic in Verwood, Dorset.

In 2005, he joined the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's training department teaching casualty care, sea survival and fire-fighting.

By 2008, with his dual training in pre-hospital remote para-medicine, he had been promoted to Clinical Operations Manager and Clinical Lead and was responsible for all clinical matters across the UK and Republic of Ireland, across over 330 Lifeboat Stations and 250 Lifeguarded Beaches. In this post Paul undertook a complete review of RNLI casualty care and invented a unique casualty care course, branded 'Big Sick / Little Sick' and designed its associated treatment checkcards and training scenario cards. He then designed a new maritime stretcher, called the RNLI PS1, which was the fore-runner to the Saviour Tactical. For all this work, plus design and implementation of a complete clinical governance framework into the RNLI, Paul was awarded the OBE in the New Years Honours List 2013.

Since late 2014 Paul has been Managing Director of Saviour Medical and his current portfolio includes:

Since 1984 Paul has been a front line volunteer SAR Medic; 

 

1984-2001 with Poole Lifeboat, Dorset

2001-2009 with Poole Coastguard Team, Dorset

2012-date with Tower Lifeboat, London

Paul's main driver is the simplification of pre-hospital care to promote optimal patient treatments in any environment with the sole aim of saving salvageable life.
